What does Gaia mean?

Gaia means Mother Earth in Greek. That's how we chose our name: as a way to thank the earth, fertile and generous, for the food it gives us. Mother Earth is, above all, woman, like the creators of this concept. In an industry historically led by men and foreign operators, we dared to step in as the only Panamanian women competing in this market. At Gaia we always prioritize the local, caring for the land that feeds us and supporting our country's economy, a market used to importing, when every country has premium products of the highest quality, on par with any international standard.

Mission

Awakening awareness and well-being in every neighborhood, bringing the best of your country to your table.

To be the vibrant heart of the proximity economy — the go-to premium minimarket in every area we reach.

Vision

Come for the market.

Stay for the coffee.

Local, fresh, and conscious living.

Our priority is to provide our customers, first and foremost, with products from local producers, supporting national growers. When that product isn't available locally, we turn to European production, which meets strong international standards aligned with our way of life: consuming as few chemicals and preservatives as possible, for an anti-inflammatory, healthy, and natural diet.

Finally, we choose high-quality products, organic-certified, GMO-free, kosher, cruelty-free, and vegan options, sourced from the United States, mainly California, the mecca of food innovation. We also give you many more options to cover the different needs of every member of your family, without having to run all over town.

High-altitude coffee, uncomplicated.

At Gaia, coffee is simple. Panamanian high-altitude coffee, easy to order and easy to enjoy. No jargon. No menus to decode. Just good coffee, the way you'd have it at your grandmother's house.

It's Palo Alto, the official coffee of our franchise. Grown in Boquete, Chiriquí, between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level. 100% arabica, medium roast, with fruity notes. With it, we freshly prepare every espresso, cortado, and latte, plus our cold drinks.

Some things in life don't need to be complicated, and at Gaia we know coffee is one of them.
